Just Enjoy It (Shinnosuke Genzo)

Lichen led Shinnosuke into the park as she listened for the rushing sound she had heard before, when she had come to explore the area by herself. It took her less than a minute to hear it again, the unmistakeable warble of a stream as it flowed over stones polished by time and water weathering. She pointed the river out to Shinnosuke.

"We're here!" she exclaimed elatedly. For the first time since she'd escorted him out of their dorm, Lichen left Shinnosuke's side to bound over gleefully to the river's edge. Crouching down carefully so as to prevent a wardrobe malfunction with her skirt, she dipped a hand into the water's depths and shivered pleasantly as its cool texture washed through her spread fingers.

"Shinnosuke, come look at this!" she called over her shoulder excitedly. "There's fish in here!"
With a dripping finger, she pointed at the glistening mass of scales that writhed in the stream.

Where Lichen pointed, there was a school of what kind of fish, she had no idea, but they were brightly colored and numerous. Yellows, reds, and oranges clashed merrily with cooler hues of greens, and blues, and purples, and Lichen was transfixed as the fish darted up the river, down, and then back again with such lithe speed.

"Pretty, aren't they?" Lichen asked Shinnosuke, her eyes glued to the fireworks happening underneath the clear waters.

Shinnosuke heard a sound that he had heard of but it was a long time ago since he had heard a calm noise like this, and to actually have such a powerful effect over him. Shin blinked once when he saw Lichen run over and in mid step he stopped seeing her dip her hands into the water, and since it was underneath the water he could tell that it was cold since she shivered lightly. That is what he saw anyway and he guessed it was cold, some small streams to rivers tend to be cold this time of year. Shin moved his hair back before something got his attention, Lichen's excited tone of voice.

Genzo blinked once silently before walking over and stopping he saw different colors come and go under the water. Shin's expression was a faint interest one and when she had asked that they were pretty he simply nodded before returning his gaze to the different colors and he looked lost as he placed his hands on his knees in the faint leaning over motion as he relaxed his muscles. Shin liked the sight, and it did send a pure emotion to flow over him but he didn't laugh or anything. Being the character he was, he smirked for a second before closing his eyes and standing straight still facing the waters surface and the color changes.

When Shinnosuke caught up to her, Lichen glanced at his face momentarily before returning her gaze to the fish that crowded underneath her.
'At least he doesn't seem unhappy to be here...' She decided she'd stay quiet for once.

Deep within her power core, Lichen detected the presence of a river birch tree directly behind her, and without having to turn around or to extract her hand from the river, she lay back and rested against its trunk. The movement startled a school of fish, however, and they darted away, moving like luminous strands of lightning against the currents.

She kept dead-still, and already the majority of them began to return, but slowly. Cautiously, each glistening body inched closer to where her hand disrupted the flow of the stream until they were fairly bumping into her fingertips. Lichen let them nibble at her fingers-- it didn't hurt, really, just tickled-- her expression tranquilly neutral.

Shinnosuke looked as if he was in his own world at the moment as he watched the water than to Lichen silently and after a moment or two he sighed closing his eyes and placed his arms over and about his chest. Genzo tilted his head as he watched the waters movements silently and he didn't know what to think or what was on his mind, Shin shook his head making his hair move about his face lightly and the back of his neck which caused him to shiver silently and after doing so he walked along side the water with his eyes fixed upon it. That was one of Shin's interests listening to the sound of the water but he loves it more when it comes from the ocean, he probably guessed that the sound was nicer if it comes from a larger source of water.

Shinnosuke stopped at the end and finding a rock with a smooth surface did he sit on it and look upward thinking to himself. Genzo was so content that he closes his eyes while hugging both of his knees to his chest as he sat, it looked as if Shin's thoughts and mind have entirely left his body.
