A soft, melody created from the piano seeped through the open cracks of the music room . Nimble fingers, hesitant yet swift. Drifted over the keys of the instrument. No one around to listen to the song that came to heart of an individual student. Shoulders tense with her back facing the doorway, Valerie glanced at the keys with strain burning into the center of her golden irises. Long wavy Carmel colored hair was left loose in a careless manner. A short sleeved button up shirt with a thin gray under sweatshirt fit over her slender body in a slightly baggy fashion that slightly hung a few inches away from her figure.as well as the cargo shorts that hung around loosely around her hips, secured with a sturdy belt she decided to wear along with a pair of black sneakers and a matching beanie hat over her head as her bangs were tussled over her face.
Her foot tapped against the carpeted floor gently along with the rhythm as she closed her eyes and let her mouth part slightly. Humming the song for a moment. The piano lessons from her music teacher in exchange for cleaning up the classroom every day was a fair deal. As she listened to the decent progress of her playing she smiled slightly as she thought. It was worth every minute.
Kurogane lay stretched out on the piano tops surface. Watching with calmed interest.
"She spins and she sways to whatever song plays;without a care in the world..." She crooned softly. It wasn't everyday she got the luxury of playing alone to herself with no one to disturb her moment of peace. The petite female could sit here in this room for eternity if she could. The piano's song continued as her muscles relaxed and she melted into the music. Forgetting about everything else.
"And i'm sitting here wearing the weight of the world on my shoulders"
"Its been a long day and there's still work to do, she's pulling at me saying "Dad i need you" 'theres a ball at the castle and i've been invited and i need to practice my dancin'.
Gaining a bit more confidence her voice went all out. soft yet strong Holding back nothing.
""oh please, daddy please"
"So i'll dance with cinderella, while she is here in my arms; Cause i know something the prince never knew"
Oh i'll dance with cinderella i don't wanna miss even one song,Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight."
"And she'll be gone"
She says he's a nice guy and I'd be impressed,
She wants to know if I approve of the dress
"She says, "Dad, the prom is just one week away
And I need to practice my dancing"
"oh please, daddy please"
So I will dance with Cinderella,While she is here in my arms.
'Cause I know something the prince never knew"
Oh, I will dance with Cinderella, i don't wanna miss even one song"
Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight.
And she'll be gone."
Well, she came home today with a ring on her hand
Just glowing and telling us all they had planned.
She says, "Dad, the wedding's still six months away,But I need to practice my dancing.
Oh, please, Daddy, please?"
So I will dance with Cinderella,While she is here in my arms.
'Cause I know something the prince never knew.
Oh, I will dance with Cinderella, I don't want to miss even one song.
'Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight..
Her voice came down to a simple whisper as she swallowed a moment before finishing the last few notes.
"...and she'll be gone.."
Kurogane simply dipped his head once in approval and she gave a small smile. Looking through the papers on the desk to see what else she could play on the piano. Checking the time she had a few more hours before she had to leave the building. Not a minute would be wasted. She pushed the bench back and walked towards the radio. Pushing the "on" button and some music played. Steady in beat and held a rather decent rhythm. She reclaimed her seat. Propped her feat up on the desk and relaxed. Closing her eyes as she listened. Slowly zoning out of reality.
